Syrah is picked at moderate ripeness to retain elegance. Cool fermentation of whole berries at 20 to 22C creates a partial carbonic maceration which introduces a spice element to the pure Syrah perfume. A splash of Viognier provides floral aromatics and a hint of viscosity, while Malbec lends texture and fleshy tannins. A cool climate, medium bodied and balanced Syrah.
