Grenache is the perfect rosé variety as the moderate maritime climate of Margaret River allows for slow ripening, greater retention of aromatics and gradual development of softer textures and succulent natural acidity. Fermentation in seasoned 500L French Oak puncheons adds an additional dimension of flavour and texture to this otherwise pristine and bone dry rosé.
92 pts Wine Companion, Jane Faulkner "Such a delicious, almost thirst-quenching drink; starts with a faint copper blush, lightly aromatic with florals and spice. The palate is juicy and refreshing with pops of barely ripe raspberries and naturual acidity. A summer day, this in hand - just right."

A wet winter and relatively dry spring set the vines up perfectly for what was to be a moderate and generous season. Warm and sunny conditions in December through to March led to even reipening and retention of natural acidity. A season of substance and poise, flavour and delicacy.
Grenache
The fruit is hand-harvested, gently destemmed then pressed immediately to extract only the finest tannin and minimal colour. The juice is 100% barrel fermented in seasoned 500L Puncheons. After fermentation the blend is aged on lees in oak with fortnightly battonage for 2 months. This process enhances mouth feel and introduces additional layers of complexity.
