SAUVAGE SAUVIGNON BLANC

Sauvignon Blanc is well adapted to our gravelly soils and maritime climate. This fruit is grown in the cooler southern end of Margaret River, which is renowned for it's fragrant white wines.

95 pts Gold Decanter World Wine Awards 2025 "Awash with fresh pineapple, grapefruit and salted peach characters imbued with savoury nutty undercurrents. Superbly textured and meticulous with not a hair out of place."

95 pts Gold Halliday Wine Companion – Jane Falkner "It offers the best of the variety, albeit in rather restrained and classy way with winemaking (wild fermentation, on lees for 10 months in French puncheons, one-third new and regular lees stirring) that brings out texture, savouriness and more. Some pine-lime Splice ice-cream, lemon juice and zest, smokin’ moreish sulphides and fine acidity throughout. It’s up there as a great example of a fumé style."

94pts Gary Walsh, Wine Front "One third French oak puncheons with a good old rest on lees. It's quite A LOT, though in a wild and good way. Passionfruit, lime, blackcurrant, green capsicum. lemon thyme and lavender, with a little spice and smoke in the mix. Plenty of flavour and intensity, bright acid cut, grapefruit and passionfruit, slightly creamy and savoury, powdery grip, with a tangy, zesty and juicy finish of excellent length. Lots of energy. No shortage of impact."

93pts Shanteh Wales, Winepilot "This is demonstrating how intriguing, savoury and fulfilling Sauvignon Blanc can be and it'a wonder of wine."

95pts Jane Faulkner, Halliday Wine Companion "Smokin'. This is so good. Textural, complex, full of flavour, savoury and a gorgeous drink. Lemon-lime and zest with lime curd/leesy flavours, a little funky and a whole lotta fun."

95pts Ray Jordan 2024 WA Best Sauvignon Blanc  "It's a beautiful wine with cellaring potential."

93pts Dr Angus Hughson “..Nice tension and texture to follow with green passionfruit and redcurrant flavours then tightening up to a long, fine and detailed finish."

96pts James Halliday Top 100 "Barrel fermented in new and used French puncheons which contribute to both the flavour and texture of this very appealing wine. It's savory and dry, but the lemon zest and fruit flavours are the prime movers in showing what can be done event in a vintage that wasn't easy."

Gold, Margaret River Wine Show

92pts James Suckling  “A perfumed nose of gooseberries, passion fruit and jasmine. Medium-bodied with silky texture. Mineral backbone gives pleasant clarity and depth to the stone and tropical fruit. Dry and tasty. Drink now.”

96 James Halliday "It's complex, and in a lineage that will ensure the wine has a healthy life ahead.....Drink to 2030."

94 Gary Walsh "Guava, gooseberry, cut fennel, spice and juicy grapefruit. Smooth, slightly smoky, juicy feel to it, and savoury with green twigs and cheese, old pineapple, fresh though, with a long and spicy finish. Lovely wine. MR SB showing it's class."

Gold 95 International Wine Challenge - London 95 Real Review “This is one of the better examples, from gifted winemaker Bruce Dukes. Retaining a youthful bright yellow hue. Snow peas, oak-toast, lemon essence and wheatgerm – lovely fresh nose. Oak is terrific. A creamy glide across the palate, lemon zest kicks in to give energy to the finish. Beautifully constructed. Faith in pristine fruit rewarded.” Nick Butler
